Recap: Santa Cruz Sheep Retreat

 We got back to SF and two weekends later we had the Santa Cruz Sheep Retreat at Sheepie Dreams Organic Farms…there were about 18 participants in all. It was a nice sunny day, not too hot or windy. Perfect for communing with sheepy friends…who were frolicking all around us and enjoying the farm’s verdant pasture…..

Fiber Friends (some old and some new to us!) picking and sorting some fleece to wash.

Spindle Spinning…it was great to see veteran spindle spinners pitching in and helping the new spinners with their drafting and spinning technique.

And of course little black sheep…with the softest fleeces!
