New Felting Workshops
We had to spill the beans about a special workshop featuring internationally recognized felt artist Nicola Brown (Clasheen). She is making time in her first SF Bay Area trip to teach an intensive day long Mosaic Felt Workshop exclusively at Urban Fauna Studio.

Discover the possibilities of creating your own unique fabric for clothing using the mosaic nuno technique. Participants in this workshop will leave with a beautiful mosaic scarf or if preferred an unusual panel perfect for inclusion in any one off piece of clothing.

Nuno-felting is a technique that combines fine wool with an open weave fabric, such as silk or cotton chiffon to create a thin, draping piece of felt that is flexible yet durable, especially suitable to wearables. In this class we will explore the technique using inexpensive tools (like bubble wrap!) and create a flat piece of fabric you can cut and sew and also a neckwarmer piece that can be worn with very little finishing.
