We’ve scheduled two classes on Saturday, April 25th:

11:30 AM to 1:00 PM  Introduction to Cables with the Twist Scarf. Class details can be found at this LINK. This is a great way to learn to knit cables, use some a skein of your hand spun and add a new technique to your knitting skills.

2 PM to 4:30 PM She’ll be teaching Introduction to Lace with the Black Diamond Cowl which will include lots of tips on keeping track of lace patterns. Class details can be found at this LINK.

Both classes are very affordable ($25 and under!!) and small enrollments ensure you get lots of one on one attention with Kira.  Take one or take them both for a wonderful afternoon of learning and fun!  Payments can be taken online, by phone or in the studio. Enrolled students get 10% off all supplies and yarns on the day of class.

GLEN PARK STREET FESTIVAL

Next Sunday we’ll be vending outdoors at the Glen Park Street Festival. We’ll be in Booth 51 and have a 10×10 foot tent set up. We’d love for you to come by and knit, spin, or craft with us between 11-3PM.  If you’re going to drop by send us an e-mail infoATurbanfaunastudioDOTcom and we’ll bring an extra seat for you. There will be a needle felting make and take all day in the booth so bring your friends, shop and have brunch in Glen Park!

We can spin, wash fleece, card, weave etc… Sandy will be on hand to talk about her process of raising a small organic flock and we will lead spinning, dyeing and felting workshops. The date is tentatively set for May 17th 2009.  If you’re interested fill out this survey ASAP Click Here to take survey . You can see pictures of our last farm visit at this LINK.
