Urban Fauna Studio Giveaway
What are ya giving away? For this month we will be giving away one of our fun and portable Hazel Rose 4″ Handheld Looms! The HR Multi-Loom (Like the popular Weavettes) is the perfect 4″ square loom for all your favorite finer yarns! The sett is 1/8th inch and it’s called the Multi-Loom because there are at least three different ways to weave on it, each one gives you a different texture and a different type of fabric for your projects. The instruction book will illustrate all three of these techniques for you. Your loom comes with the instruction book, and a weaving needle.

Awesome! What do I need to enter this FREE giveaway? All you need to do is comment on this post with the following 1) Your FIRST NAME and 2) One idea about what you would make with this nifty tool if it came to live with you!*

I can do that, no prob. When will I know if I win? We will draw a name based on your entry number using a random number generator. The winner will be announced on Friday April 10th 2009! You will have 3-4 days to claim your prize or we’ll go to another entry.
OK…Start Posting Your Crafty Comments Here! If we get enough interest we will be posting a monthly giveaway on the blog with more fun fiber tools and supplies!
*If you do not answer both questions in your entry it will be disqualified. So be sure to leave us your name and a cool idea for using the loom! And your ideas can be similar to previous entries…after all, great minds think alike!

Sooo cooool I wanna make a nifty dinner place mat with it by making a bunch of little squares and then sewing them together.
I’d love to make a set of coasters. Or maybe a picnic blanket for my needle felted little guys!
Two words: catnip ravioli! Oh, and Jamie and Blas rock!!
I would do old school pot holders!
a tooth-fairy pocket…
Hey Jamie – it’s me! I think it’s working better now, don’t know what the trouble was before!
I’m really excited about your loom give away. I’m a huge weavette lover. I make squares, add a tiny icord loop for a button hole, sew it onto a skirt or dress, and then add one of Maggie’s buttons:

Hi guys….I love these little looms!!!!
I would make little lined coin purses with vintage button closures.
Great to see you two (and your mom, Jamie) at Stitches!
oooh! i see curtains for the little guy’s gnome house and pins and patches for my pants and and and…!!!!!!
Ooh! This is neat! I’d make a funky, multi-coloured wall-hanging to spiffy up the apartment!
I enjoy the process more than the actual result! But I’d like to make a blackberry pouch and matching coin purse. –Carol
Hi Sorry you have been sick. My name is Pam and i just came acrossed your site. Wow the loom looks so awesome I’d love to make some placemats for my table or i don’t know the possiblities are endless. Makes you think. So please put me in your drawing.

Hello! My name is Jodie
I would love to weave some fabric for art quilts–this little loom would be the perfect size!
Hi! My name’s Brittany!
I’d love to weave up some squares and sew and full them to make cushions. I’m hoping that’s not too ambitious!
I’ve started working with kids again and I think they’d love it. I wonder how I can incorporate wool into the curriculum…
Cheryl – I’d like to get ambitious and make an afghan with the loom squares
*Thanks* for the giveaway!
Shiny! I’d make a christmas stocking and a little stuffed gnome.
This is so cool- If I won the loom I doubt I would make anything with it, as DD would take it over. I know she would make covers for picture/cd/sticker albums, and cat toys:0)
I am glad to hear about the craft fairs going on:0)
I would make squares using my leftover bits of yarn and assemble into shopping totes.
I totally want to make a rad table runner for my dining room table. (I can picture it already!) I also thought about getting a 2″ loom and making christmas ornaments- just get some funky red and green variegated yarn, add a ribbon, and voila, instant ornament.
I would like a chance to win this loom too. I would try making those beautiful needle case holder I saw at the shop. Thanks for the opportunity……….
I’d like to sew a bunch of them together and make a warm goofy heavy coat. Yeah!
I’d make some coasters that matched our new furniture.
Love this little loom..I look forward to learning how to weave, period!! I’m a Jewelry designer and would love to learn something using fibers…thanks for holding a giveaway..and I adore your “furbabys” !!
I would like to make block of squares and make a afghan or any projects that i can give away for charity..
Hi guys, the Glen park festival is April 26 (you have April 9 listed on your website). Hope you feel better soon!
What a cute loom. I have a done a little weaving, but it is daunting to start a big project. I’m thinking of something that could be made with smaller pieces sewn together. Maybe a bag to hold knitting projects?
Hmmm, A scarf perhaps!
A wee changepurse. And I’d use some handspun from the Rhino Batts I bought and spun on my Mjolinor!
Hi, I’m Jennifer. I would make coasters, and if I was feeling particularly ambitious I’d weave up my sock yarn leftovers and sew them up into a fun blanket!
i would love to have a wee loom home with me! i was thinking coasters too, but also, i’ve just knitted a “canvas” that i could add woven squares to, building up texture even more. or, use squares as patches on jeans, even figure out a way to use a square as a pendant…
xoxoZarah
My name is Laura and I would make a lot of stuff. lol
here is a list
1. pot holders
2. blanket
3. scarf
4. a purse
5. place mats and coasters
I will stop now.
I would make potholders like I used to make a long time ago. Then I think I would move on to a scarf. The one on the flickr link is lovely.
If I won this loom, I would make a sweater vest by sewing all the blocks together
1) Tara
2) I would share it with my daughter, and the first thing I would do is use my handspun yarn remnants to make little scrap bags for my friends wheels – I have one a friend made for me, and get lots of compliments on it.
I would love to make the squares to add to a shawl made on my triangle loom. I saw where a woman had added them along the edges to make a really nice ruffle. Of course the grand kids could make potholders also, but I would probably use it more than them.
This would be perfect to introduce my grand daughter to weaving. he could start with old fashioned pot holders like I made when I was a child.
Hi..My name is Barbie..I’m a knitter first..crocheter second..and a spinner (newbie)..but with lots of yarn and leftovers..I’m thinking little squares of different yarns would make a terrific sweater for a little girl!! I’ve not seen one of these..although it looks like a pot holder from the ‘old days’
Hi there. It’s Eve.
Oh how I wish i could win!
I love learning some new crafts and figure out what cute things to do with a technique: pockets, cozy, pot holders, quilt, and so much more
Hi — Theresa here.
By the way, I LOVE your brick and mortar store, and Blas did a wonderful job of answering all of my questions and making me feel welcome.
Now, what would I make, perhaps coin purses, pockets, sachets, catnip toys… and the list goes on.
Keeping my fingers crossed!
Emily – This looks just perfect for a baby blanket with different coloured squares!
Charlotte-I’m thinking of a pendant-woven and folded with beading.
Looks like lots of fun. I’m always up for a new experience. Purse, scarf, blanket,oh my…Hope I win, I would love to learn to weave even on a small scale.
An iPhone cozy!
I would make patches for my kids jeans.
Ok, I’ll bite. But if I get addicted to weaving, I’ll blame you guys!
I’m Katie. I think I would either make potholders (I’m big on these right now), or I would use my handspun and make little swatches to show off the yarn. And then frame them and hang them up or give them as gifts.
I would make flowers out of the squares I’d make! I saw a few tutorials somewhere online on how to make them.
1) Celeste
2) The possibilities are endless! I would probably weave a bunch of squares from all the little bits of yarn left over from other projects and make a crazy and wild scarf or shawl.
Hi I’m Laci. I’m new to weaving. I’ve been looking around for a nice starter loom. I have been wanting to make place mats and fun stuff for around the house.
Love knowing scheduled craft shows, etc.
I would use the loom to weave wools squares – then felt each one – then make one of a kind pin dolls with my own original felting. Loved all the creative ideas.
I would love this! I would most likely make a bag first.
I’ve never used one of these little looms before, but I’m really excited to try one out! I keep thinking aobut woven, 3-D quilted-scrump pieces!
The give-away is a very shinny idea. I might have to start doing this for my studio blog.
Hum, I could make dishcloths, small bags, or even bigger blankets (if I sew the pieces together).
I love the fact that the loom is earth-friendly!
irene
Hey, my name’s Rebecca and I would make a cute little cellphone or ipod case
I’m Vivian and I would make billions of little squares to sew up to make a blanket =]
Hi this is Wendy and I would love to make a cute soft baby sweater!! Looks like so much fun!!
Thank You!
I thinkI would weave some mats and sew them stogether. I would then attach some of the felted pieces and other embellishments to it.
I’d make a patchwork quilt.
How cute! I would love to make small bags with it! Small one to hold my lampwork beads, and maybe a larger one to hold my iPhone! Placemats would be so cool!
Potholders definitely come to mind. But I think I’d weave little squares and make a scarf out of them. I did this with granny squares once and it was super cool. One of those things I wish I hadn’t given away as a gift.
