   Hello Pat,
   When you click the hyperlink to download the PDF, at the bottom of the example sheet, it should open up the directions in a new window and from there you should be able to save the file to your computer to view at a later time or print from.    I made this hat with worsted yarn, and it turned out absolutely perfect. In fact I made one with the K hook, and one with a J hook.
   I really like this pattern and it works up so fast! I made one while I was sitting in the car and my husband was salmon fishing in the rain!
   I will be making more hats as gifts and to donate to the clothing closet in our community.
